The habitat consists of primary Guineo-Congolian rain forest. The length of the forewings is 2.1–2.4 mm. The forewing are elongate and the ground colour is golden brownish with dirty white markings. The hindwings are narrow, elongate and pointed and the ground colour is brownish fuscous. Adults are on wing from late March to mid-April.〔(Systematics, revisionary taxonomy, and biodiversity of Afrotropical Lithocolletinae (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) )〕 The larvae feed on ''Hibiscus calyphyllus''. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of a semi-transparent blotch, which is made on the underside of the leaf.
